ABSTRACT
To solve motor heating and life shortening with uneven output currents caused by different external characteristics for parallel switched reluctance generators, current sharing control is generally adopted to make each parallel generator undertake large load currents on average to improve the reliability of parallel power generation system. However, the efficiency characteristics of each parallel generator are not considered in the above method, the method usually causes extra losses of power. Therefore, in order to enhance generating capacity and reliability of multi-machine power generation, the control strategy based on differential evolution algorithm is proposed for parallel switched reluc-tance generator, which establishes and analyzes the efficiency expression of parallel system from the efficiency op-timization. The reference current of each parallel generator can be re-adjusted in the process of optimization, so as to transform the working point of each generator and implement the efficiency optimization of parallel system. The per-formance of the proposed control method is evaluated in detail by the simulation and experiment, and comparison with traditional current sharing control is carried out as well.
